iTero Scanners have several benefits over traditional impressions. First, a patient’s movement does not distort the scan while eliminating the invasiveness and discomfort caused by impressions. Second, the real-time digital display of scans allows for immediate adjustment, assuring accurate scans the first time. Finally, the image quality of impressionless scans is superior to conventional impressions. Because of the immediate transfer or information, we can get Invisalign and other appliances back more quickly than with traditional impressions.
I-Cat Cone Beam Scanner
The i-CAT cone beam scanner is used to produce 3D diagnostic records which are invaluable to developing a complete, accurate diagnosis and the most effective treatment result for our patients. This state-of-the-art technology affords Cone-beam CT 3D scan views of the face, head, airway and teeth at a very low (safe) radiation level while being exceedingly accurate. We are one of the only offices in the country where our X-rays are taken by a certified radiology technologist, extensively educated in safe radiation techniques.
We use SureSmile® digital technology to create a digital model with braces. We then utilize the digital model to plan, anticipate tooth movement and root position, in diagnostic decisions and robotically bend wires for a precise tooth position. A patients’ intraoral scan is submitted to SureSmile® digital lab to create a digital model. We then, utilize the digital model to simulate treatment options in diagnostic decisions.
3D Facial Mapping
Our office developed and patented the ability to do 3D facial scans simply with or without a coordinated radiograph. This helps us better plan procedures that invoke changing the facial appearance in 3 dimensions.
3D Printer – Coming Soon
From 3D iTero photographic scans or 3D radiographs, we can print 3D models for the fabrication of extremely accurate orthodontic appliances with no messy impressions.
Upon check in, press your finger on our scanner and you will be automatically and immediately checked in for your appointment.
Our office has computerized charts since 1982 and pioneered the effort to make dental offices paperless. Records are secured and quickly transferred as needed. Records are never put into storage and are always accessible, encrypted for security and instantly available for professionals as needed.
One of the things we value most is the consultation visit after the first new patient visit. This is when all treatment options are covered and explained. We realize that New Yorkers are extremely busy, and for this we love the web based consultation. Via your computer in your own home or office, you can see all the records and images that we can. We review all details over the internet, and you a very detailed interaction without being physically present.
When indicated, cone beam CT scans are read by a licensed radiologist for evaluation of the scan. This can then be digitally sent to the patient or other health professionals as needed.
